Get ready for an unforgettable adventure at our MINI MACH Adventure Challenge! Great for juniors, families, and first-time adventure racers looking to dive into the world of multi-sport racing in a fun and supportive environment.
Starting from our brand-new HQ at the Finch Hatton RSL, participants will tackle a thrilling course featuring a fun mountain biking course and exciting navigation challenges. Whether you go solo or team up with a friend, the MINI MACH promises an action-packed adventure through the stunning landscapes of Mackay’s Pioneer Valley.
Join us for a morning of outdoor fun, community spirit, and a chance to discover what adventure racing is all about. Make a weekend of it — camp under the stars, enjoy participating, spectating or volunteering at ZACH MACH Adventure Challenge on Saturday 26 April before kicking off or ending your adventure racing journey with the MINI MACH Adventure Challenge!

River Crossing across/along Cattle Creek
Orienteering course by 21Degrees South Multisport
MEGA MACH Option on the River bank
Trail Run loop back to the River Crossing (Approx. 1km)
Mountain Bike return to finish (Approx. 2.5k)
Adventure station by Pinnacle State School.

A Safety & Event Briefing will occur at 7:45am opposite the Pinnacle Hotel.
All competitors MUST attend this briefing as it will cover important information including:
Changes to the course
All the things you need to know to stay safe throughout the event.

The race will start at 8.00am.

Times:
6.00am Late race pack collection from ZACH MACH Event HQ, Pinnacle Hotel
6.30am to 7.30am Check-in and collect timing chip
+10YRS can nominate for the MEGA MACH and receive a wrist band to identify themselves at the 21DS activity station.
6.30am to 7.30am Bike drop off to Transition 1 (walk from ZACH MACH HQ to Williams Road).
7.45am Race briefing, opposite the Pinnacle Family Hotel
8.00am Race Start
9.15am Presentations and Random Draw
COURSE MAP*
Our MINI MACH Course weaves between cane fields, Cattle Creek within Mackay’s beautiful Pioneer Valley. Participants are faced with an orienteering course through Cattle Creek and a Challenge Station by Pinnacle State School.
2025 MEGA MACH OPTION for 10YRS+ to nominate at registration on the 11th May 2025.
*Course could be altered due to high water levels.
